Insulin may be needed to treat the diabetes of the glucagonoma and somatostatinoma syndromes.
A variety of agents have been used in treating the diarrhoea of theVIPoma syndrome, the most effective being prednisolone. Octreotide has, however, again proved to be superior to these other drugs. VIPoma crises require intensive fluid and electrolyte support, and central venous pressure monitoring may be necessary.
